Kaolinite blocks were tested this morning, crushed, scratched, sniffed, dipped and hosed… The results, were illuminating. We knew the kaolin blocks would be weak, which they were, but the differences between urine and water blocks were very, very interesting.
As you can see I had an exciting weekend.

Wet and stinky on the inside…
So the blocks look dry, but aren’t. Cutting them down isn’t really that easy, so we’ll have to wait until they dry, as crush testing soggy blocks would be a waste of time and really, a waste of the blocks. Testing has been postponed…
